The HERSTAR Puff Hat was one of my first pattern drafting ventures. The design was inspired by a combining a workwear uniform, newsboy, and trucker silhouette. I took a 6 panel newsboy shape and overlapped the edges to draft the pattern for the front. I wanted this hat to seem ridiculously oversized, but still fit comfortably. These were the first two iterations of the hat. A dense material or multiple layers of fabric serves the vision best.
